Note that Lightning does not just add a calendar to Thunderbird, but also a task manager. However, I think all of this misses the point of why a Thunderbird/Lightning sync would be great, and that is offline access to tasks from the desktop. I also would love to see some sort of two way connection with Google Calendar.
